Description

The File - ZIP Create node builds a ZIP archive from file entries, with size and count limits. Entries can be grouped by folder, provided as flat folder/file rows, or placed as bare file entries at the archive root; the archive name can be a static string or a single-line template resolved at process time.

  • Grouped: { folder: string, files: file | file[] } — one folder with one or more files
  • Flat: { folder: string, file: file } — one folder + one file per row (for example, from a list:map node)
  • Top-level: a bare file entry — placed at the root of the ZIP

Examples

Static Archive Name

Configuration:

  • ZIP File Name: report.zip

Use case: Bundle a fixed set of generated files under one name.

Templated Archive Name

Configuration:

  • ZIP File Name: export-{ now | date("YYYY-MM-DD") }.zip

Use case: Daily exports with a date-stamped archive name.

Grouped Entries

Input entries:

[{ "folder": "invoices", "files": ["inv-1.pdf", "inv-2.pdf"] }, "readme.txt"]

Result: invoices/inv-1.pdf, invoices/inv-2.pdf, and readme.txt at the root.
