Description

The Integration - SQL Connect node creates a connection to a SQL database that can be used by subsequent Integration - SQL Query nodes. It supports PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases with various authentication options including connection strings and individual credential fields.

Behaviour

  1. Receives trigger to initiate connection
  2. Resolves all connection parameters (from literals, dynamic inputs, or secrets)
  3. Establishes connection to the database
  4. Returns connection object for use by SQL Query nodes
  5. Triggers success or error control flow

Connection Lifecycle

  • Connections are managed within the run
  • Use Integration - SQL Disconnect to explicitly close connections
  • Connections are cleaned up when the run ends

Security

  • Local/internal database connections are blocked by default, including when a hostname's DNS answer points to an internal address.
