Your First Task Tracker

Build a task list in Studio without writing code. You will create a Schema, add two Records and update a task.

Prerequisites

  • A Ligantic account and a Space where you are an Admin.

Step 1: Create a Task Schema

  1. In Studio, open your Space and Space Settings → Schemas.
  2. Click Create Schema.
  3. Enter Task in Name.
  4. Under Properties, click Add property. Enter Title as the property's Name and leave its type as Text.
  5. Click Add property again. Name the second property Done and select Yes/No.
  6. In Display Template, replace any existing template with the Title field so that each task is identified by its title.
  7. Click Create Schema.

You now have a Task Schema with a text field and a checkbox field. Schema Field Types Reference describes the available field types.

Step 2: Add Two Tasks

  1. Open Task from your Space's navigation.
  2. Use the create action above the Records table.
  3. Enter Plan the demo in Title and leave Done unchecked.
  4. Click Create Task.
  5. Return to the Task table and create another task titled Share the demo.

The table now lists two tasks. Their display names come from the Title field you selected in the Display Template.

Step 3: Complete a Task

  1. Open Plan the demo from the Task table.
  2. Select Done.
  3. Save your changes using the Record's save action.
  4. Return to the Task table.

The first task is now marked done, while the second remains unfinished.

What You Built

You created a Schema and used its fields to store and update Records. You can use those Records as data in an Experience or process them in a Flow.
